Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) 2022 - Visiting Fellowships Program for Young Researchers

Launched in 2018, the "Make Our Planet Great Over again" (MOPGA) initiative has met with worldwide enthusiasm, generating expressions of interest from a large number of highly qualified students and researchers.

The MOPGA Visiting Fellowships Plan for Young Researchers will exist supporting researchers working on topics related to:

  • earth system sciences,
  • climatic change and sustainability sciences,
  • energy transition,
  • societal challenges of environmental problems,
  • human, animate being and ecosystem wellness as function as a "1 Health" approach.

To coincide with the One Sea Acme to be held in Brest in February 2022, a special attention volition be paid to applications linked to oceans.

Description of the Research Project (in English or French):

- Title of the Project
- Keyword (6)
- Abstract of the Research Project (ii,000 char. max.)
- Context and Motivation (ii,000 char. max.)
- Scientific Objectives (2,000 char. max.)
- Methodology and Planning report (4,500 char. max.)
- Projection position in relation with to the MOPGA scientific domain (two,000 char. max.)
- Collaborations and / or impacts for the candidate's country of residence in relation to the research project proposal (ii,000 characters max.)

Who may utilise?

Foreign researchers holding a doctoral caste for less than 5 years are encouraged to reply to this call for proposals. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, except French nationals.

xl fellowships will be awarded to the young researchers over a 12-calendar month period from September 2022.

This fellowship includes the post-obit benefits :
- Monthly allowance of two,500 euros
- Moving allowance of 500 euros
- Support for social security coverage
- Support for health insurance


A visiting fellowship understanding with the French host institution will be established betwixt the institutions and the laureates. Information technology will specify the means and resource made available by the host laboratory so that the researcher can behave out the inquiry project.

Eligibility

Candidates must:
- have obtained their PhD less than five years prior to the awarding (i.e. they must have dedicated their PhD between December 2016 and December 2021included),
- not concord French citizenship,
- not take resided in French republic after September 1st 2021 (more than than 90 days).

The starting time of the visiting fellowship for young researchers in France is due to take issue in September 2022.

Selection Process

Consistent with the aims and requirements of this call for applications, the pick procedure will unfold in two phases. Timeline

  • Nov 8th 2021: Application period opens
  • January 17th 2022: Application flow ends
  • Finish of June 2022 : Notification of results
  • September 2022: Inflow of the laureates in the host French institution and commencement of the one-twelvemonth research grant.
